The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Artist Statement: I paint because it gives me a way to de-stress and puts me in a state of consciousness I’ve never found anywhere else. The first time I ever painted was because I was simply looking for something to pass the time. Someone set up a canvas on a music stand, placed a brush in my hand, gave me some oils and a kiss goodbye. A quick eight hours later, I had created something. I felt accomplished, content, and energized. And that’s how it all began. Colour plays a key role in my approach to painting. Colour is my passion. My paintings are largely, though not only, abstract. I like to start with a clean slate in mind, and begin each composition without a preconceived idea of what to paint.
